Job summary

U.S. Engineering Innovations in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Field Engineer to support project execution by assisting with mechanical construction, coordinating on-site activities, and ensuring quality control and safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical construction projects.
  • Interpret project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to track project progress and resolve issues.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot challenges in the field.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and site logistics.
  • Conduct field measurements and verify installation accuracy against design specifications.
  • Assist in quality control processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Monitor and enforce job site safety in accordance with OSHA and company safety guidelines.
  • Support project documentation, including RFIs, change orders, and daily reports.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.

Job description

The Field Engineer will play a critical role in supporting project execution by assisting with technical aspects, coordinating on-site activities, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of mechanical construction projects.

Education & Experience:

Knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on construction environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices.
Physical and/or travel demands:
  • Ability to work in an outdoor construction environment, including exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and climb ladders or scaffolding as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary.
