Job summary

Crowder Construction Company in Marietta, GA is seeking a Field Engineer to support site surveying and plant layouts. You will provide technical information to the site superintendent to ensure drawings and specs are followed, establish exterior-interior grade and working lines, and assist in evaluating dimensions and field problems.

You will coordinate with the Project Engineer and Foreman, train crew members, and help subcontractors with layout drawings while upholding safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of related education or equivalent experience preferred.
• North Carolina Professional Land-Surveyor Certification, required.
• Proficient in total station and applicable software.
• Experience with figuring quantities such as concrete, rock, and dirt.
• Experience with As-Built built drawings.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Experience with Carlson Software.
• Figuring coordinates.
• Experience with using level/and or laser for shooting grades.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to schedule given by Superintendent and Foreman.
• Coordinate job layout with Superintendent and Foreman.
• Assist subcontractors with layout drawings and coordinates.
• Coordinate with subcontractors on layout needs.
• Adhere to safety policies and identify violations.

Primary function of aField Engineer

Responsible for site surveying and treatment plant site layout. Provides technical information to the site superintendent to ensure compliancewith all drawings and specifications. Establish exterior-interior grade and working lines for contractors or crafts. Assist in the evaluation of potential dimensions and other field problems, referring them to the Project Engineer.

Duties:

Organization

• Adhere to schedule given by Superintendent and Foreman
• Keep all drawings and RFIs updated (office and field sets)

Leadership

• Work closely with Superintendent and Foreman to coordinate job layout
• Must work with and train rodmen
• Assist subcontractors with layout drawings
• Coordinate with subcontractors on layout needs
• Adhere to safety policies and identify violations

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of related education or equivalent experience preferred
