Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Field Engineer to support structural steel erection operations for a construction client. You will work directly with erection crews to ensure project execution, progress tracking, package development, and field coordination activities.

Responsibilities include developing work packages, IFC packages, test packages, turnover packages, and RFIs, while presenting findings with data to support recommendations.

• Track progress, issues, and RFIs; support Change Orders.
• Coordinate with customers, craft labor and project stakeholders.
• Prepare ROMs and document field findings with data-driven recommendations.
• Perform field walkdowns and monitor earned value progress.

Insight Global is seeking a Field Engineer who will support structural steel erection operations for one of our construction clients. This position will work directly with structural steel erection crews, ensuring project execution, progress tracking, package development, and field coordination activities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage

• Construction Work Packages
• Issued for Construction (IFC) Packages
• Test Packages
• Turnover Packages
• Perform field walkdowns
• Track earned value progress and apply Rules of Credit
• Identify and track project constraints
• Prepare and manage RFIs
• Assist with Change Orders
• Develop workarounds and solutions for client approval
• Initiate ROMs with construction supervision
• Coordinate with customers, craft labor, and project stakeholders
• Present findings professionally and support recommendations with data

*Per Diem: $150/day, 7 days/week if assigned schedule is worked

Schedule

• 13 days on / 1 day off
• 10-hour shifts
• Alternating 60-hour and 70-hour work weeks

Duration

• Strong likelihood of 12+ months
