Job summary

Engineering Design Technologies, Inc. (EDT) is seeking a Field Engineer - Corrosion/Cathodic Protection for a full-time, on-site role serving the Washington DC-Baltimore Area. You will perform corrosion control testing, cathodic protection evaluations, and non-destructive testing in water and wastewater facilities.

The role requires field work, safety training, and the ability to travel to project sites. CP1 certification is required; CP2 is preferred and will be prioritized.

Qualifications

• NACE CP1 certification is required.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently in the field and with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field testing and advanced cathodic protection evaluations.
• Perform corrosion control testing and corrosivity evaluations.
• Execute non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures.
• Support condition assessment testing for infrastructure projects.
• Work at heights and perform confined space entry as needed.
• Provide technical support and documentation for project teams.
• Collaborate with engineering staff on corrosion mitigation strategies.

EDT's Mid-Atlantic division focuses on Water Resources, Corrosion Engineering, Condition Evaluation, and Facility Services.

About the Role

EDT is seeking a Field Engineer - Corrosion/Cathodic Protection for a full-time, on-site position serving the Washington DC-Baltimore Area. This hands-on role focuses on advanced corrosion control testing, cathodic protection evaluation, and non-destructive testing in water and wastewater infrastructure environments.

• CIP Certification (NACE Coating Inspector Program)
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field

Pay Range: Compensation will be determined based on experience, certifications (CP1, CP2, NDT, etc.), and qualifications.
