• Multi-tasking, problem solving and strong communication skills a must.

Responsibilities

Overview

Summary: The Field Engineer will serve as engineering support for our service and sales teams in the Midwest, assisting on complex/highly technical or problem jobs. This role will require frequent travel to job sites throughout the Midwest territory but will be based at our Sales office in Detroit, MI. Approximately 70% of the role involves fieldwork, with the remaining time spent in the office.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Product Support - Troubleshoot issues with existing and newly installed equipment in the field and provide immediate solutions
• Work closely with engineering team, service team, local sales team and customers to help find best outcomes on installed jobs
• On site for startups on all high profile jobs for National Accounts or large/complex projects
• Review and analyze data gathered from installed equipment in order to make product improvements, utilizing our CASLink remote monitoring system
• Use mechanical building design knowledge to review applications for customers and suggest improvements in operation
• Perform 3rd party training for outside contractors on CaptiveAire products
• Provide reports to Application Engineering, R&D and manufacturing on customer feedback/challenges, quality, product improvements/issues
