Job summary

PACK Power LLC seeks an on-site professional to monitor multiple project activities, inspect major equipment onsite, and ensure compliance with specs, procedures, drawings, and QA/QC standards. You will train and mentor craft employees and support project planning and field data management.

The role emphasizes safety, accurate reporting, and collaboration with clients; travel and site rotations are involved as part of the assignment.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Experience in related construction field preferred.
  • Read, analyze and interpret blueprints, technical procedures and safety rules.
  • Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety.
  • Must be a self-starter, hard-working, inquisitive, organized with good interpersonal skills.
  • Write daily reports and document project activities.
  • Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Oversee daily substation construction activities, inspecting work quality including excavation, concrete, rebar, grounding, steel, wiring, and electrical checks.
  • Verify construction aligns with design documents; review inspection reports and resolve non-conformances.
  • Maintain key logs: material tracking, testing/inspection, concrete, and non-conformance.
  • Manage submittals, ensuring materials match approved specs and project schedules.
  • Perform basic surveying and verify line, grade, and dimensions.
  • Record and report daily progress, identifying and addressing deficiencies promptly.
  • Document approved field changes and maintain red-line drawings.
  • Coordinate closely with client quality staff to meet QA/QC standards.
  • Compile operations and maintenance manuals with key contacts and warranties.
  • Support punch list inspections and determine calibration status of testing equipment.
  • Collaborate with project managers and estimators on project support and future planning.

Position Scope

Position is responsible for monitoring multiple project activities, including inspections of major equipment received onsite, compliance with specifications, procedures, drawings, submittals and ensuring inspections and tests are qualified and complete. Employee must develop a thorough understanding of the project scope and schedule as they relate to multiple specific assignment. Train and mentor craft level employees in their respective duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Location & Travel:

Onsite in Crowell, Texas.In addition to your base salary, you’ll receive a daily per diem to assist with living expenses while on assignment. This role includes regular rotational travel home from the job site. A monthly vehicle allowance and fuel card will also be provided.

Our High Voltage Division delivers comprehensive engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions for critical electrical infrastructure across the utility, renewable energy, and industrial markets. Our expertise includes substations, switchyards, and transmission line systems ranging from distribution and medium voltage to extra‑high voltage (EHV).

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
