Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 8–12 months of varied field engineer/coordinator experience; internships may count.
• Knowledge of construction specifications, methods and procedures, scheduling techniques.
• Effective verbal and written communication with supervisors and subcontractors.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Writes clear technical communication to trade contractors, designers and inspectors.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and construction software.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and lead inspections and orientations; identify hazards and corrections; promote health and safety practices.
• Coordinate with superintendent on workforce planning.
• Maintain project document control; support project engineers and superintendents to lead trade contractors (RFIs, shop drawings, changes, billings).
• Participate in supervising self-perform scopes; manage crew sizes, labor tracking, and LCR quantities.
• Mentor and coach field engineers and interns.
• Identify issues on-site or in defined work scopes.
• Coordinate third-party inspections and site reviews.
• Help craft, implement, and supervise quality plan and ITP.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with all partners.

Responsibilities

• Mentors and leads inspections and orientations, identifies hazards and corrections, and leads by example for health and safety practices and procedures.
• Coordinates with superintendent on workforce planning.
• Maintains project document control and procedures. Supports project engineers and/or superintendents to lead trade contractors, including requests for information (RFIs), shop drawings, changes, and billings.
• Participates in the supervision of self-perform scopes, including resolving crew sizes, labor tracking, and quantity tracking for Labor Cost Reports (LCRs).
• Mentors and coaches field engineers and students/interns.
• Identifies issues on-site or in defined work scopes.
• Coordinates third-party inspections and site reviews.
• Participates in crafting, implementing, and supervising quality plan, Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Develop and maintains positive relationships focusing on all partners.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor's degree in a related field: construction management, engineering, architecture preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 8-12 months of varied experience as field engineer/coordinator preferred; time acquired during internships in the field may count as experience.
• Knowledge of construction specifications, and methods and procedures (e.g., formwork methodologies, self-perform work, subcontracted work scopes, temporary work, equipment, and scheduling techniques).
• Understands and applies construction principles to problem solve.
• Effective verbal and written communication with supervisors and subcontractors, and reports.
• Proven track record to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Writes clear technical communication to trade contractors, designers and inspectors.
• Develops and maintains effective partner relationships.
• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite and construction related software.
