Job summary

Comprehensive Life Resources in Tacoma, WA is seeking an Employment Specialist to join the Outreach team. The role focuses on community-based case management to help individuals facing homelessness overcome employment barriers and secure meaningful work aligned with their goals.

The job requires fieldwork at shelters and encampments, driving as needed, and coordinating with treatment teams. 40-hour weeks, daytime schedule, competitive benefits including health, retirement, and education

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in human services or related field.
• WA State credential or ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle if driving is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Engages clients and builds collaborative relationships toward employment.
• Assist clients with benefits information (SSI, Medicaid) and opportunities.
• Develop individual employment and education plans with clients.
• Provide follow-along support to maintain employment.
• Attend treatment team and staff meetings and trainings.
• Ensure ethical and professional standards per CLR policies.
