Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. is seeking an Emissions Testing Environmental Scientist for our Air Measurement Services (AMS) in the NC area. You will work with experienced engineers and scientists to conduct emission testing and ambient monitoring at diverse facilities.

Expect extensive travel to US sites and overseas, with focus on safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires a chemistry/engineering background, IQ certification, and strong data interpretation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in science or engineering preferred.
• QI certification in Groups I, II, III is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills expected.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and traverse ladders daily.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment to monitor pollutants at sites such as smokestacks or facilities.
• Monitor emission control devices for compliance with regulations.
• Record data and prepare reports, charts and summaries.
• Prepare compliance documents and test protocols.
• Travel up to 70% across the US and internationally as needed.
