Base pay range

$57,976.00/yr - $66,672.00/yr

APPLICANTS MUST BE PERMANENT IN THE PRINCIPLE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOCIATE CIVIL SERVICE TITLE.

The Bureau of Case Integrity & Eligibility Verification’s mission is to identify system enhancements to improve claiming and to avoid overpayments, as well as working with program areas to prevent potential errors by reviewing records of Cash Assistance and Medical Assistance Program (MAP) cases and analyzing their contents for material that might retroactively identify Federal and State obligations that had not previously been recognized.

The Office of Revenue Management and Development (ORMD)/Bureau of Case Integrity and Eligibility Verification (BCIEV) is recruiting for one (1) Principal Administrative Associate II to function as Field Eligibility Verification Specialist in its Case Integrity and Eligibility Division, who will:

  • Review and analyze Medical Assistance Program (MAP) duplicate Client Identification Numbers (CINs) for potential recovery of duplicate payments to New York State.
  • Initiate corrective actions on MAP invalid Social Security Numbers to minimize risk of audit disallowances.
  • Evaluate Information Technology Services (ITS) computer printouts relating to MAP reimbursement claims.
  • Work on various MAP projects.
  • Conduct surveys and special assignments on MAP related issues.

Work Location: 4 World Trade Center

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00AM – 5:00PM

PRINCIPAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOC - 10124

Minimum Qualifications
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or
  • An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described above; or
  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described above; or
  • Education and/or experience equivalent to the above. All candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described above. Education above high school may be substituted for clerical/administrative experience at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience, up to a maximum of 3.5 years.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Medical Assistance Program (MAP), Job Center, or HIV/AIDS Service Administration (HASA).
  • Knowledge of Welfare Management System (WMS), Paperless Office System, HRA One Viewer, and Electronic Medicaid of New York (E-MedNY).

Residency Requirement: NYC residency generally required within 90 days of appointment. Certain titles may be eligible for residency in nearby counties after 2 continuous years of city employment. Discuss with your recruiter.
