Job summary

V2X seeks an Electronics Technician I at Fort Irwin, CA to support field instrumentation for MILES hardware. You will assist with installation, deinstallation, and troubleshooting of field equipment, ensuring systems stay mission-ready during pre-rotation and down-range operations.

The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance on TADSS and GFP, following manuals and best practices, with real-time maintenance logging in InSITE (Maximo).

Qualifications

• No experience +AA or 1+ year of experience with No Degree

Responsibilities

• Assists in the installation, deinstallation and troubleshooting of MILES hardware used for instrumentation of vehicles and wearables.
• Provide RTU installation support during pre-rotation MILES install operations and work as part of a contact team when the unit is down range to ensure MILES hardware functions properly.
• De-installation of MILES hardware once rotational training is complete.
• Perform scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on TADSS and GFP following manuals or industry best practices when no checklist is available.
• Ensure maintenance tasks do not conflict with training, exercises, and testing.
• Record all maintenance activities in real-time in InSITE (Maximo) and track items by part/serial number and location; install modifications or upgrade kits as per manufacturer instructions.
