Job summary

Tri-State Drilling is seeking an EHS Specialist to provide field safety support across multiple projects, with travel up to 50%. You will partner with EHST leadership to ensure work is performed safely and compliant with OSHA requirements.

You will conduct observations, audits, and training, and you will coach Foremen and project teams to close safety gaps while balancing operational needs.

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years of progressive safety experience in heavy civil, industrial, or drilling/foundation.
• Knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and related safety standards.
• Ability to influence Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen and craft workers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; travel ~50%.

Responsibilities

• Provide field safety support, training, and hazard identification for projects.
• Perform site safety observations, audits, and incident investigations.
• Collaborate with operations to ensure safe planning, reviews, and risk mitigation.
• Coach leaders on toolbox talks, safety briefings, and AHA/good catch reporting.
• Review leading/lagging safety indicators and drive proactive interventions.
