Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to support two operations in North Carolina. This field-focused role emphasizes building relationships with employees and supervisors while driving safety and environmental compliance.

You will lead inspections, manage safety programs, training records, and incident investigations, and collaborate with operations and leadership to implement proactive EHS programs across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of EHS experience in industrial environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience inspecting, hazard recognition, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Familiarity with stormwater, waste, and chemical management programs.
• Willingness to work in outdoor industrial environment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS compliance activities across two sites.
• Conduct field inspections, identify hazards, investigate incidents, drive corrective actions.
• Maintain safety programs, training records, calendars, and documentation.
• Support inspections, training, task training, and hazard awareness.
• Prepare and maintain reports, permits, sampling records, manifests, and agency documentation.
• Lead or support safety committees, toolbox talks, training, and emergency preparedness.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, and leadership to build practical EHS programs.
• Serve as contact during regulatory inspections and address findings.
