Job summary

Castelion is seeking an EHS Engineer to provide hands-on and technical EHS support for Midland manufacturing and test operations, including energetic material processing, mix and cast operations, equipment and process safety, and test activities.

This field-oriented position requires close collaboration with manufacturing, test, engineering and facilities teams to identify hazards, develop practical controls, and ensure EHS requirements are implemented, while moving between fieldwork and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of EHS, safety engineering or related experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and common EHS programs.
• Ability to translate hazards into practical controls.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily, hands-on EHS support for manufacturing, test operations and facilities.
• Identify hazards and partner with teams to develop controls.
• Lead risk assessments such as JHAs and PHAs for new or modified operations.
• Support equipment changes, commissioning and first-time operations with risk evaluation.
• Execute core EHS programs including LOTO, PPE, respiratory protection, and electrical safety.
• Conduct field inspections to verify controls and drive corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations and determine root causes with corrective actions.
• Provide training and coaching on EHS requirements to staff.
