MISTRAS Group is actively seeking an Eddy Current Assistant to support the Greater Houston area and travel across the U.S. to cover projects, turnarounds, and call-outs as needed.

The role assists Level II Eddy Current Technicians, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to reliable NDT services. Field duties involve outdoor work in plant environments with exposure to noise, requiring safety gear and adaptability to shifting schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate with clients, supervisors, and co-workers.
• Ability to read technical documents and engineering specifications is preferred.
• Must be able to follow precise directions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Must be willing to travel.
• Assist the Level II Eddy Current Technician with designated NDT activities.
• Assist technicians with setting up and tearing down equipment.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance and calibrations of equipment and facilities.
• Assist with documentation and reports of services provided.
• Learn and abide by company policies and procedures.
• Adapt to an ever-changing schedule.
