Software Placement Group is assisting a large heavy civil contractor in Pensacola, FL to hire a Project Engineer for highway and bridge construction. You will support project managers, manage RFIs, submittals and project documentation while tracking costs and schedules; field exposure of 20–30% is expected.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, 3+ years of heavy civil experience, and familiarity with plans and specs; DOT project exposure and tools like

Qualificações

• 3+ years of engineering experience on heavy civil, highway, road, bridge, drainage or utility projects
• Strong RFI, submittal, documentation, cost tracking and schedule exposure
• Ability to read plans, specs and contract documents
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field

Responsabilidades

• Support project managers and superintendents on active heavy civil projects
• Handle RFIs, submittals, drawings, transmittals, approvals and project documentation
• Track cost, quantities, production, materials, equipment and schedule updates
• Schedule work activities and material deliveries with the field team
• Assist with budgets, forecasts, cost reports and change orders
• Communicate with owners, subcontractors, vendors, field crews and project leadership
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documents
• Spend 20 to 30 percent of your time in the field observing construction progress
• Support safety, quality and contract compliance
