Job summary

Frontier-Kemper, a Tutor Perini Company, seeks a Drilling Superintendent for raisebore and blindbore projects across multiple field sites in the United States. This role requires extensive travel and hands-on leadership of drilling crews to meet safety and production targets.

You will develop drilling plans, supervise equipment operations, and ensure MSHA compliance while coordinating with project managers, engineers, and clients. Travel 75–100% is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in underground drilling or mechanical excavation with at least 5 years in supervisory roles on raisebore/blindbore projects.
• Hands-on expertise with raise boring and/or blind drilling equipment and techniques.
• Strong working knowledge of MSHA regulations and underground mining/construction safety standards.
• Demonstrated leadership to train and motivate field crews in demanding environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills; willing to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise drilling crews on raisebore and blindbore projects, ensuring safety, schedule, and specifications.
• Oversee mobilization, setup, operation, maintenance, and demobilization of raise boring machines and related equipment.
• Develop and execute drilling plans, procedures, schedules, and production targets with project teams.
• Champion a zero-incident safety culture and MSHA compliance; lead safety meetings and investigations.
• Prepare daily reports, production logs, and progress communications for clients.
