Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic to perform safe maintenance and repair of complex rental equipment and to travel to customer sites as needed. You will support service operations and contribute to service excellence.

Required are a High School diploma, 3–5 years of repair experience, own tools, and a valid driver's license, plus strong mechanical aptitude and customer-service skills. This role offers growth within a leading equipment rental provider.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Must own tools applicable to position.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Other duties assigned as needed
