Job summary

Linder Industrial Machinery Company is seeking a Field Heavy Technician Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain construction equipment in shop and field environments. Must live in Tallahassee, FL and able to travel to sites as needed.

You will work with Komatsu and other premier equipment brands, perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain repairs, and participate in factory training and certification programs. Overtime is available.

Qualifications

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment and components.
• Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy construction equipment and related components
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain repairs
• Develop repair plans and determine parts, materials, and tooling
• Complete repairs safely and efficiently to meet quality standards
• Prepare service reports, work orders, warranty documentation, and repair recommendations
• Order and manage parts through company systems
• Communicate repair status and findings with supervisors and customers
• Maintain company vehicles, service trucks, tools, and equipment
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Perform shop and field service work as assigned
