United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III - Field Service) to perform maintenance and repairs on complex rental equipment at customer sites. The role offers growth toward higher technician levels and leadership within the service department.

You will travel to job sites, maintain service paperwork, and support training of junior technicians while delivering exceptional customer service to clients.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools.
• Superior customer service and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; ability to lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely maintain and repair a variety of complex rental equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, diesel).
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance; keep vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork and work orders daily; document work performed.
• Assist with pickup/delivery of equipment and parts; perform other duties as needed.
