Job summary

Dynamic Equipment Group is seeking a skilled Diesel Field Mechanic to support construction/heavy equipment customers in Lakeland, FL. The role requires 3–5 years of diesel/mechanical experience or a recent technical school graduate, and the candidate must bring personal tools to work.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and reconditioning on heavy equipment, ensuring units are job-ready and accurately documented.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of heavy equipment/diesel mechanic experience OR recent technical school graduate.
• Must supply personal tools.
• Proficient with schematics/diagrams and diagnostic software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and reconditioning on heavy equipment.
• Ensure equipment is job-ready for customers.
• Accurately complete service reports and documentation.
• Communicate estimated labor times and job updates to the Service Manager.
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with OSHA standards.
• Track and follow up on parts needed for current jobs.
