United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic – Customer Equipment Solutions (Service Tech IV – Field Service – CES) to perform maintenance and repairs on customer-owned equipment with high independence.

You will support a world-leading equipment rental provider and contribute to a safe, professional service culture. The role involves traveling to customer sites, training junior technicians, and maintaining accurate service records while upselling and showcasing equipment capabilities.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction equipment and engines; able to read schematics.

Responsabilidades

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment with limited supervision.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist in training of lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work orders daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment to customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you'll do

• Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
• Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• 5+ years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Knowledge of construction equipment and strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines
• Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
• Must own tools applicable to position
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals' policies and procedures.
