Job summary

Titan Machinery is seeking a Case IH Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel machinery in both shop and field settings. You will complete high-quality work while ensuring safety and compliance and communicating clearly with owners and the service team.

The role requires 2+ years of related experience or an Associate's Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology, with willingness to travel up to 75% and work on-call hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience OR an Associate's Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology or related program.
• 1+ years of successfully completing tasks with limited supervision.
• Clean driving record.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have or obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certification.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time with occasional overnights and 50%+ work offsite/in the field.
• Ability to work flexible/on-call hours.
• Keen attention to detail, initiative, and ability to work independently.
• Exceptional documentation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic, Repair, and Technical Expertise: diagnose, repair, and recondition machine systems per manufacturer specs; provide timely field service as directed by the Service Manager.
• Documentation and Communication: clearly communicate findings, repair needs, and timelines; manage parts and complete work orders accurately.
• Technical Development and Customer Focus: participate in ongoing training; recommend maintenance or upgrades to enhance equipment performance and customer value.
• Safety and Compliance: follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work.

Overview

Join the Titan Machinery team as a Case IH Diesel Mechanic. This position is responsible for performing diesel machinery diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and pre-delivery work on customer equipment, internal units, and warranty repairs at a high level of quality and efficiency. Work may be performed in the shop or in the field, and all assigned tasks must be completed safely, professionally, and profitably.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic, Repair, and Technical Expertise: Perform accurate diagnosis, repair, and reconditioning of machine systems and components in accordance with manufacturer specifications; provide professional, timely, and courteous field service as directed by the Service Manager, including potential weekend and after-hours service calls
• Documentation and Communication: Communicate findings, repair needs, and expected timelines clearly with equipment owners, operators, and the service team; request, install, and manage all parts and supplies required for equipment repairs. Complete work orders and all required service-related documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Technical Development and Customer Focus:Participate in ongoing professional and technical training to maintain current product knowledge and service capabilities; proactively recommend maintenance, upgrades, or solutions that add value for customers and improve equipment performance
• Safety and Compliance:Follow all safety rules, policies, and regulations while performing work assignments
