Job summary

Titan Machinery is seeking a Case IH Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel equipment in both shop and field settings. The role involves completing work safely, documenting findings, and communicating timelines to customers and team.

Candidates should have 2+ years of experience or an Associate's Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology, own tools, a valid DOT medical certification, and be able to travel up to 75% with overnight stays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience OR an Associate's Degree in Diesel Equipment Technology or related program
• 1+ years of successfully completing tasks with limited supervision
• Clean driving record
• Must have own tools
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certification
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time with overnight stays and 50%+ work offsite/in the field
• Ability to work flexible/on-call hours
• Keen attention to detail and initiative, able to work independently
• Exceptional documentation and communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnosis, repair, and reconditioning of machine systems per manufacturer specs; provide field service as directed by the Service Manager
• Communicate findings, repair needs, and timelines with owners, operators, and service team; manage parts and finish service docs on time
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain knowledge and service capabilities; propose maintenance or upgrades that add value for customers
• Follow safety rules, policies, and regulations while performing work assignments

Overview

Join the Titan Machinery team as a Case IH Diesel Mechanic. This position is responsible for performing diesel machinery diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and pre-delivery work on customer equipment, internal units, and warranty repairs at a high level of quality and efficiency. Work may be performed in the shop or in the field, and all assigned tasks must be completed safely, professionally, and profitably.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic, Repair, and Technical Expertise: Perform accurate diagnosis, repair, and reconditioning of machine systems and components in accordance with manufacturer specifications; provide professional, timely, and courteous field service as directed by the Service Manager, including potential weekend and after-hours service calls
• Documentation and Communication: Communicate findings, repair needs, and expected timelines clearly with equipment owners, operators, and the service team; request, install, and manage all parts and supplies required for equipment repairs. Complete work orders and all required service-related documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Technical Development and Customer Focus:Participate in ongoing professional and technical training to maintain current product knowledge and service capabilities; proactively recommend maintenance, upgrades, or solutions that add value for customers and improve equipment performance
• Safety and Compliance:Follow all safety rules, policies, and regulations while performing work assignments
