As a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III - Field Service), you'll perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment safely and professionally. You can improve and challenge yourself daily, with opportunities for advancement into higher technician and leadership roles. Providing exceptional customer service is a key part of your role.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe maintenance and repair of various complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance; maintain a clean and professional service vehicle.
• Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
• Assist with equipment and parts pickup/delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 3-5 years of experience in equipment repair/maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools and engines.
• Own tools applicable to the position.
• Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs. frequently.

This position is Safety Sensitive per United Rentals policies.

Compensation Range

$28.80 - $43.20 per hour.
