Position Summary

FMC Corporation is seeking motivated and detail-oriented summer interns to join our research station teams. The internship provides hands‑on experience, development opportunities, and networking with students from various universities. Interns will develop an understanding of crop protection compounds as it relates to early synthesis, field testing, and registration requirements, and will work with a team to achieve common goals while following corporate safety guidelines.

Internship duration is the summer at our Rochelle, IL, and Madera, CA research station sites.

What You Will Do

• Assist station managers in running the evaluation program for pre‑commercial crop protection compounds.
• Set up small plot field trials, calibrate equipment, and measure, mix, and spray pesticides.
• Collect data, maintain plots, monitor insect traps, and conduct field scouting.
• Perform general farm operations, including planting, cultivating, irrigating, discing, or mowing.
• Summarize field trial results using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and FMC corporate computer systems.
