Job summary

Virtru is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work onsite with government agencies and defense customers, configuring and deploying the Data Security Platform across Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes environments. The role requires active TS clearance and strong hands-on experience with container orchestration and cloud infrastructure.

You will serve as the technical bridge, ensuring security postures align with mission requirements, and you will travel to customer sites as needed to deliver

Qualifications

• Active U.S. TS Clearance required, with CI poly preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years as a deployment or solutions engineer in government environments.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher, Helm).
• Experience with cloud infra (AWS, Azure, GCP) and identity providers.
• Comfortable in air-gapped environments and traveling onsite.

Responsibilities

• Deploy Virtru DSP across government environments, adapting to security controls and infrastructure.
• Integrate DSP with AD, Group Policy, and Windows authentication; support Linux and cloud-native microservices.
• Architect and manage containerized DSP deployments on Kubernetes platforms (OpenShift, Rancher); customize Helm charts.
• Collaborate with customer teams to translate mission requirements into technical implementations.
• Troubleshoot integration challenges across diverse stacks and document runbooks and automation scripts.
