Job summary

Smart Structures is seeking a Field Data Manager in West Palm Beach, FL to oversee the Data Management System at the construction site. The role requires a Civil Engineering background and strong data management expertise, including SQL proficiency and experience with Oracle or MS SQL databases.

The candidate will collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure data integrity, manage data flow from site to database, and maintain backup and QC processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil/structural data management.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle or MS SQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Oversee population, maintenance, and operation of the Data Management System.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other roles to ensure data integrity.
• Facilitate automated and manual data input into the database.
• Manage and maintain databases ensuring performance and security.
• Perform data cleaning, transformations, and validation for analysis datasets.
• Coordinate data flow from site to database and to end users.
• Transfer database CSVs and raw data to destination documents.
• Develop quality control processes for data entries.
• Establish backup processes for data as specified.
• Participate in data-related meetings and represent the contractor.
• Author and compile the Data Management Plan.
• Collaborate with Data Management Officer on workflows.
• Perform other data management tasks as assigned.
