Job summary

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a part-time Data Collector to support the Georgia Rising Kindergarten Summer Transition Program evaluation. The role involves in-person classroom observations in Georgia, data gathering and entry, and regular communication with study staff.

The position is 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with a possible hybrid arrangement. A Bachelor’s degree is required, and travel within Georgia may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Experience with classroom observations or working with young children is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, tablets, and web-based data entry.
• Willingness to travel within Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person classroom observations in Georgia using standardized protocols.
• Gather, prepare, manage, organize, score, and enter evaluation data.
• Communicate with study participants and project staff; maintain confidentiality.
• Coordinate data collection visits and ensure timely completion of forms.
• Assist with data management, cleaning, and entry into project systems.
