Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • General Lines Property and Casualty license required within 45 days of employment.
  • Typing speed of at least 45 WPM with ≤5% errors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, professional, and courteous service to members and insureds in person, by phone, and through electronic channels.
  • Assist in promoting and executing core County Farm Bureau purpose activities, supporting the President and Board.
  • Dedicate time to studying for the General Lines Property and Casualty license exam.
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-train to ensure seamless daily tasks.
  • Assist applicants with membership applications.
  • Observe daily deposits per guidelines and procedures.
  • Review the Delinquent Membership report daily and contact members for renewals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and reports.
  • Discuss issues with CAAP Supervisor and Agency Manager as needed.
  • Comply with Driving and Safety Policy and other assigned duties.

This position provides prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service to earn members’ and policyholders' trust and satisfaction, while supporting County Farm Bureau operations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILIITES AND AUTHORITY

Provide prompt, professional, and courteous service to members and insureds in person, by phone, and through electronic channels. Ensure every interaction reflects the organization’s commitment to excellence in customer care.

Assist in promoting and executing the core County Farm Bureau purpose activities. Place high priority on assisting the CFB President and Board members with duties related to the promotion of agriculture, including Board activities and general office and clerical support as directed.

Dedicate available time to understanding and mastering material for the General Lines Property and Casualty license exam.

Collaborate with team members and cross-train in various roles to ensure the seamless completion of daily tasks, especially in the absence of colleagues.

Assist the applicant with the membership application.

Observe the preparation of daily deposits in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.

Review the Delinquent Membership report daily and contact members to assist with membership renewal, updates to membership data, and payment.

Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling critical and sensitive information, records, and reports regarding the county, members, and insureds.

Discuss with the CAAP Supervisor and, when needed, the Agency Manager, issues, problems, or needs within the county offices.

Comply with the Certified Fleet operator requirements of the Driving and Safety Policy.

Other duties as may be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED.

Obtain and maintain General Lines Property and Casualty license pursuant to Texas law. Must be acquired within 45 days of employment.

Ability to type a minimum of 45 WPM with a maximum of 5% errors.

Basic knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Effective interpersonal verbal skills, in person and via telephone.

Ability to plan, organize, and complete detailed work independently or in a team environment.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate several tasks at the same time.

Willing and able to learn new skills and refine existing skills as needed.

Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record at the time of hire which would not disqualify the employee from driving for business purposes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Use of computer, telephone, copy machine, fax machine, scanner, and other office equipment over six (6) hours daily.

Extended periods of sitting and concentration.

Occasional bending, twisting, crouching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and reaching in an office environment.

Occasional lifting and moving items weighing up to 30 lbs.

Occasional travel by auto or other public transportation.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Occasional long, irregular work hours.

Work to be conducted in office environment owned or leased by company.
