Job summary

CHS Inc. in Selby, SD is seeking a Custom Applicator to serve local farmers by applying fertilizer and crop protection products. You will operate spray equipment, manage loading and application, and build relationships with customers in the field.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, 1+ year in agriculture operations, and fluency in English. Overnight stays and some weekend work may be required with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• 1+ year of experience in Agriculture Production, Operations, and/or Agriculture Application.
• Must meet minimum age requirement.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizer and crop protection products under supervision, may use high clearance sprayer or floater.
• Pickup and deliver product to customers as needed.
• Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Educate customers on products being applied and how you can continue to support them.
• Assist sales staff to ensure orders are correct and patron needs are met.
• Perform warehouse duties including driving loader, forklift, and maintenance.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal laws including hours of service.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and work environment.
• Complete daily maintenance inspections and repairs as needed.
