Job summary

Snohomish Conservation District is seeking an entry-level Field Crew Member (Range 1) based in Lake Stevens. The role supports the Riparian and Stewardship Department, working with landowners on urban, residential, and rural conservation projects.

Typical duties include planting, habitat restoration, nursery plant care, and operating a range of tools and equipment. Extensive field time and safety training are provided; wage is $24.63/hr with a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Able to use materials and equipment to complete work per specs and procedures.
• Maintain safety practices in field per regulations and district policies.
• Must have physical capability to perform manual labor.
• Must have or obtain a valid driver’s license and pass background check.
• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation of green stormwater infrastructure and habitat restoration projects.
• Plant and maintain plants, shrubs, and trees; perform habitat restoration work.
• Operate manual and power tools and heavy equipment as assigned.
• Work with landowners on projects and communicate effectively on site.
• Adhere to safety requirements and district policies; perform related duties as needed.
