Job summary

Petroplan is seeking an experienced Field Cost Engineer to support cost control, analysis, and reporting for a major LNG construction project. This hands-on role requires regular field engagement with active construction activities.

You will work with field engineering, construction, and project controls teams to monitor budgets, analyze trends, and develop cost-control strategies for successful project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or international equivalent required.
  • 8-10 years of cost engineering experience in large-scale construction or EPC.
  • Experience in LNG, industrial, or energy projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost performance.
  • Prepare and analyze cost reports, variance analyses, and labor reporting.
  • Develop cost studies using historical data and quantity analyses.
  • Identify cost trends and provide mitigation recommendations to management.
  • Develop and analyze unit labor-hour and pricing data for disciplines.
  • Analyze craft productivity and project performance to improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate cost activities with field engineering, construction, and project controls.
  • Participate in field activities, site walkdowns, progress reviews, and quantity verifications.
  • Support change management by assessing cost impacts and mitigation strategies.
  • Apply Rules of Credit and installed-quantity earning methodologies.
