Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Cost Control Specialist for Gulf Coast Project sites, including Brownsville, TX. You will manage budgets, monitor cost performance, prepare cost studies, and implement cost control requirements across non-routine projects.

You will collaborate with field engineering, construction teams, and other project professionals to identify trends, mitigate risks, and ensure accurate cost reporting and forecasting for complex EPC activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience (12–14 years acceptable with alternate backgrounds).
• Experience in cost estimating, control, and analysis on EPC projects.

Responsibilities

• Establishes, maintains and monitors project budgets and cost reports.
• Prepares cost studies using historical data and statistical analysis.
• Identifies trends and provides innovative cost engineering solutions.
• Supports field engineering and construction in cost control and change management.
• Coordinates cost activities across disciplines and sites.
• Performs site walkdowns and safety reviews related to cost activities.
