Job summary

Belt Power is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Installer to install, fabricate, repair, and service conveyor belting products for customers in the field and fabrication shops. The role involves on-site installation, splicing, and fabrication, with travel to customer sites as needed, and requires a strong mechanical background, attention to detail, and safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background and ability to adapt to changing jobsite conditions.
• Ability to interpret and verify precise measurements using a tape measure.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights or in tight spaces.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/mechanical training preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in technical installation, fabrication, or industrial maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, splice, repair, and fabricate conveyor belting products and components on-site or in fabrication shop.
• Conduct pre-installation calls with Sales Representatives and customers to confirm scope, materials, and timelines.
• Perform post-installation follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Manage installation calendar, travel schedules, and expense reports; maintain tracking documents.
• Maintain company vehicles and tools in good working order.
• Identify customer needs and opportunities for reorders or maintenance.
• Document service visits with reports and system updates; share field feedback with Sales teams.
• Participate in safety, technical, and professional development training.
• Travel for in-state and out-of-state service work as needed, including overnight stays.
• Follow all safety rules and wear PPE.
