Job summary

Goforth Williamson, Inc. is seeking a Controls Field Specialist for the Savannah, GA area. You will troubleshoot and retrofit control panels for municipal pump stations, and diagnose field issues to keep systems running smoothly.

This role requires hands-on work, outdoor exposure in varying weather, and travel across south Georgia. A two-year degree in electrical controls is preferred, with opportunities to grow within Flow Control Group’s broader portfolio.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years working experience in controls troubleshooting or panel building preferred.
• At least a 2-year degree in an electrical controls related curriculum preferred.
• Basic working knowledge of electricity and industrial motor control components and systems.
• Electrical safety and safe practices when working around energized equipment.
• Ability to follow an electrical schematic.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot general electrical control panel issues at pump stations.
• Retrofit control panels based on engineered drawings.
• Startup of new control panels and commissioning.
• Fabrication of control panels from schematics, including wiring.
• Programming/commissioning variable frequency drives and soft starts.
• Submit field service reports with detailed notes and pictures.
• Overnight travel ~10% and weekend work ~10–15%.
