Job summary

Lincoln Electric, a leader in industrial machinery and welding solutions, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support installation, commissioning and ongoing service of heavy equipment. You will work with customers to install, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC and HMI systems on-site.

Travel about 70% is expected across customer sites; you should bring strong electrical, mechanical, and software skills, plus the ability to train end users and communicate clearly with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Electrical Eng degree preferred.
• Mechatronics degree programs considered.
• Knowledge or education in VB, C/C++, or C#.
• Knowledge of electrical circuits, schematic reading, design, and troubleshooting.
• Mathematical skills in geometry and trigonometry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Windows OS and PC experience.
• MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Travel required ~70%.

Responsibilities

• Field service and commissioning support of industrial machinery.
• Assisting customer and local trades in troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Debug and servicing of electrical components.
• Perform end user training on equipment operation.
• Programming and Troubleshooting PLC based equipment.
• Programming and Troubleshooting HMI equipment.
• Writing new PLC and HMI applications per customer requirements.
