Job summary

Hanley Energy is seeking a Field Controls Technician EPMS for new construction to install, integrate, test, and commission client systems to ensure 100% uptime and energy efficiency. You will work on hands-on installation and troubleshooting at customer sites, supporting full infrastructure for data-center equipment.

The role requires experience with PLCs, HMIs, IPCs, SCADA, networking, and electrical drawings, plus a proactive, team-oriented approach and ongoing training responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a technical field.
• Technical training from military, trade school, university, or college, with equivalent experience to a two-year degree.
• A 2-year STEM degree is a plus.
• Experience with data centers, PLC programming, SCADA, networking, and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• System installation, checkout, integration, testing, and commissioning support.
• Ignition training.
• Knowledge of ProCore.
• Programming IPCs, HMIs, PLCs, managed switches, PQMs, etc.
• Expand and develop system integration experience.
• Provide feedback to Engineering on diagrams, sequences of operation, and operating procedures.
• Utilize time management, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Train other team members as part of ongoing team development.

Overview

Field Controls Technician EPMS (NewConstruction)

The Field Controls Technician will be working as part of a fast growing, dynamic team and will play a critical role representing Hanley Energy in our business model. This person will integrate automated client systems to reduce energy costs, ensure 100% up-time, monitor key components, and maintain competitiveness.

The Field Controls Technician will support new construction projects at customer sites and is a responder for hands‑on equipment new installation and troubleshooting up to full operation. Our committed team works as a technical resource to support the full physical infrastructure of their customer’s buildings that store mission‑critical data and equipment.

• System Installation, Checkout, Integration, Testing and Commissioning Support

Job Qualifications

Basic Experience Qualifications

• Education/Training:
• 2 years of experience in a technical field.
• Technical training from military training, trade school, university, or college and relevant working experience equivalent to a
• 2-year degree in STEM is a plus
