The Field Controls Technician BMS will be part of a fast-growing, dynamic team, playing a critical role in representing Hanley Energy. This person will integrate automated client systems to reduce energy costs, ensure 100% uptime, monitor key components, and maintain competitiveness.

The Technician will visit customer sites, troubleshoot, and operate equipment hands-on. Our team supports the physical infrastructure of buildings that store mission-critical data and equipment.

Roles, Goals, and Responsibilities

  • System installation, checkout, integration, testing, and commissioning
  • Ignition training
  • PMV and PMV support
  • HE ticket support
  • ProCore
  • Develop system integration experience
  • Provide feedback to engineering on documentation, diagrams, sequences, and procedures
  • Use time management, teamwork, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Train team members as part of ongoing development

Basic Experience Qualifications

  • Education/Training:
    • 4 years in a technical field, including military, trade school, university, or college, or equivalent experience (e.g., 2-year STEM degree + 2 years experience)
  • Experience with:
    • Data centers, PLC programming, HMI development, SCADA creation, networking, troubleshooting, mechanical/electrical/plumbing drawings

Preferred Experience Qualifications

  • Experience in some of the above areas
  • Prior experience with equipment such as AHU, DAHU, CRAHU, MAU, fans, pumps, valves, motors, relay logic, heat pumps, water systems, meters, AC/DC circuits
  • Protocols like MODBUS and BACnet
