Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Controls Integration Engineer in the Berkeley, MO area to support on-site deployment, integration, and commissioning of automated material handling equipment. You will work with senior engineers to bring up IPCs, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks, gaining field commissioning expertise.

This early-career role emphasizes mentorship, hands-on execution, and progressive ownership of commissioning tasks and subsystems, with safety and quality as priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
• Experience with Linux/Unix.

Responsibilities

• Support on-site commissioning of sorters, conveyors, and work cells under senior engineers.
• Provision, configure, and validate Linux-based IPCs, PLCs, HMIs, networks, and field devices per project standards.
• Perform I/O checkouts, wiring verification, and device-level validation.
• Execute commissioning and test procedures, document results and deviations.
• Support dry runs, functional testing, and system testing during startup.
