About This Role

Carrier Marine & Offshore Systems has been a global leader in maritime air conditioning and refrigeration technology since pioneering the first shipboard use of air conditioning. Our products are found aboard cruise ships, offshore platforms, and commercial vessels worldwide.

If working as a Service Engineer in a dynamic organization excites you, then come and join our Marine Systems group! We sell air conditioning products and systems for various commercial applications, from cruise ships to fishing boats, offshore drilling platforms to oil tankers.

This position can be worked onsite in Syracuse, NY, or remotely from Florida or Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair air-conditioning and cooling installations on ships and offshore islands under various circumstances.
• Perform complex services, repairs, maintenance, and commissioning of cooling installations independently.
• Identify failure sources and fix malfunctions of various natures.
• Manage internal ordering of parts needed for repairs.
• Conduct technical analyses of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Provide service support and commission new installations in coordination with owners and/or building teams.
• Perform advanced testing procedures.
• Detect damages on technical installations and prepare reports.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience with HVAC controls and automation.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to or above 80%).
• Must be a US citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with chillers, HVAC equipment installation, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with KTA (corrosion and coatings) and KTC (exhaust sensors).
• Experience with measurement and control techniques, electro-techniques, and automation applications.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, customer service, and flexibility skills.
• Availability for 24/7 response and extended travel, including outside the US.

Pay Range

$61,213 - $107,122 annually.
