New Solutions/ National Park Service seek experienced field staff to design, build, and maintain remote hydrological monitoring platforms and boardwalks at Everglades National Park, Homestead, FL. The role supports restoration monitoring and park operations in challenging wetlands.

Travel to remote sites by boat or helicopter is common; candidates must handle hot, humid conditions and follow strict safety standards. This temporary position covers up to 1248 hours.

Qualificações

• Minimum 15 years in construction or carpentry, or HS/GED plus 10+ years in designing/constructing platforms in outdoor wetlands.
• Valid driver's license; able to carry 45+ lbs, work in extreme heat and water, navigate remote terrain; airboat/motorboat use and helicopter flight experience preferred.
• Experience with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams and MS Outlook.

Responsabilidades

• Design, plan, and perform construction, repair, and maintenance of remote hydrological monitoring platforms and boardwalk structures in the Everglades.
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and full rebuilds of wooden, metal, and composite structures in harsh, wetland environments.
• Lead and assist in the design and planning of hydrostation platforms and boardwalk structures.
• Travel to remote work sites via boat, airboat, hiking, or helicopter, often carrying tools and materials.
• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with NPS safety standards and environmental protection requirements.
• Support other physical resources inventory and monitoring needs related to maintenance, repairs, and rebuilds.
