Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Site Superintendent for field roles across the United States, starting with a project in northeast Ohio. The role focuses on safety, quality, scheduling, drawings conformance, and client relations on site.

You will supervise subcontractors, maintain records, prepare reports, and support the Project Construction Manager while ensuring adherence to procedures and project timelines. Travel is required up to 100%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus six years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Oversees subcontractors and construction to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with drawings.
• Ensures work adheres to the project schedule and flags delays to the Project Construction Manager.
• Writes Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports for review with site lead or PM.
• Takes progress photos and labels them for record keeping.
• Prepares Monthly Progress Reports.
• Ensures contractors use latest design drawing revisions.
• May assist the Project Construction Manager on the project.
• Prepares contract extras and progress payments for client approval with the PM.
• Maintains clear, professional correspondence with management and clients.
• Maintains on-site records per CDM Smith requirements.
