Job summary

Tuff Shed Inc. is seeking a Field Construction Technician – DOT in Houston to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering storage buildings, performing warranty repair work, and supporting sales through strong customer service.

Role requires experience with basic carpentry and operating power tools, along with DOT log compliance and vehicle inspections. You’ll engage with customers, assist at events, and ensure timely maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction basics and carpentry
• Ability to read tape measures, drawings, and speed square
• Operates power tools (air tools, hammer, saw, drill) safely
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
• Clear communication with customers, partners, suppliers and team
• Understanding building permit requirements is a plus

Responsibilities

• Safely delivers storage buildings to stores, properties, and lots
• Performs warranty repairs on customer sites within schedule
• Provides feedback to management on warranty eligibility
• Delivers excellent customer service to current and prospective customers
• Supports off-site events and maintains displays and marketing materials
• Logs DOT hours, inspects vehicles, and manages maintenance needs
