Job summary

Bartlett & West is seeking an entry-level Construction Engineering Technician in Bismarck, North Dakota to perform field observations and ensure compliance with project specifications. The position requires knowledge of construction practices, the ability to interpret plans, and familiarity with materials testing. After training, candidates will work independently on-site, documenting construction progress and conducting quality assurance.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years' construction, survey, and/or field observation experience.
• Must have ability to pass certifications.
• Experience and knowledge of materials testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction and field observations.
• Read and interpret construction plans for quality assurance.
• Conduct materials testing for various materials.

Skills

General knowledge of construction practices and methodology

Working knowledge of surveying and staking procedures

Excellent communication skills

Proficiency in MS Office

Good math skills

Strong organizational skills

Ability to work independently

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

2-year degree from technical school or college (preferred)
