Job summary

Atmos Energy seeks a construction professional to coordinate natural gas system projects, working with internal teams and external contractors. The role emphasizes safety, timely delivery, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include serving as a point of contact during construction, reviewing invoices and materials usage, and maintaining records. Requires OQs, a valid license, and ability to work various shifts and conditions; safety training is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and four years natural gas construction and maintenance, and/or pipeline operations field experience.
• Must have and maintain Operator Qualifications (OQs) and training; obtain others within six months.
• Valid driver's license; may require CDL; welding certificate possible.
• Working knowledge of various software applications for data entry/retrieval.
• Ability to lift up to 53 pounds and work in all weather and environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities to complete natural gas system projects with internal resources and external contractors.
• Monitor and ensure projects are safe, cost-effective and timely.
• Serve as internal and external customer contact during construction phases.
• Liaise between company resources, contractors, agencies and vendors to assure project success.
• Review materials utilization and related invoices for accuracy.
• Maintain knowledge of current construction techniques and regulations for pipelines and facilities.
• Perform activities to ensure responsiveness to natural gas and other emergencies.
• Complete and maintain records and reports to comply with requirements.
• May be required to hold stand-by duty, shifts, holidays, weekends, or extended hours.
• Identify and report safety and encroachment issues to resolution.
