Job summary

CobbFendley Inc. seeks an experienced Construction Observer for our Houston, TX office. You will monitor site activities, document progress, and communicate findings to engineers and project managers.

The role requires the ability to travel to remote locations for extended periods and work with minimal supervision. Ideal candidates have 5 years of construction observation experience, strong attention to detail, and knowledge of public works standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Construction Observer (roadway, bridge, pavement, water, sewer).
• Public works experience required.
• TXDOT SB 102 and Level 1B certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction activities on-site to ensure work aligns with approved plans and specifications.
• Document daily site conditions, progress, and issues with reports and photos.
• Communicate observations and solutions to project managers or engineers promptly.
