Job summary

Southwind Construction, a subsidiary of Quivera Enterprises, is seeking a Construction Laborer to support field operations on federal, industrial, and commercial projects in Edmond, OK. The role involves hands-on site work and teamwork.

You will perform site prep, material handling, basic equipment support, demolition, and cleanup, while following safety rules and PPE. This position is PT as needed with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather; a high school diploma is

Qualifications

• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, climbing, and standing for long periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to maintain client and team relationships.
• Subject to background check, drug screening, and confidentiality requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (up to Top Secret).

Responsibilities

• Perform site preparation including clearing debris, unloading materials, and staging supplies.
• Assist carpenters, equipment operators, and other trades as directed.
• Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact soil.
• Load and unload building materials and distribute them to appropriate locations.
• Erect and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffolding, barricades, and fencing.
• Operate basic hand tools and power tools safely.
• Assist with demolition activities including removal of concrete, drywall, flooring, and other materials.
