AECOM is actively seeking a motivated and experienced Mid-Level Construction Inspector to support major transportation and infrastructure projects throughout the Chicago area. This position will play an important role in supporting construction quality, materials testing, and field operations for IDOT, CDOT, municipalities, counties, and other clients.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with 4+ years of construction inspection or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR check
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials (concrete, asphalt, aggregate, soil)
• Monitor site activities to ensure conformance with plans and specs
• Maintain testing records, daily reports and sample logs
• Coordinate testing schedules with inspectors, engineers and contractors
• Assist with documentation for IDOT, CDOT and other agencies
• Provide on-the-job guidance to junior team members
