Job summary

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking full-time Construction Inspectors for our Columbus, OH office. This role involves observing and documenting construction activities to ensure compliance with technical specs.

You will monitor soil moisture/density, test concrete and asphalt, and assist lab personnel. A valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and ability to work outdoors are required. Relocation not offered; benefits include PTO and health coverage.

Qualifications

Must have high school diploma or GED.
Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license with good driving record.
Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work.
Roadway construction experience is preferred.
Current certifications NICET, ACI, APNGA, NETTCP, ICC, FPO are a plus.

Responsibilities

Observe and document construction activities to ensure specifications compliance.
Monitor and test soils moisture and density using nuclear gauge.
Test concrete slump, air content and unit weight.
Test asphalt temperature and compaction.
Assist laboratory and drilling personnel as requested.
Interpret civil drawings, specifications and geotechnical reports.
Complete reports, testing documents, timesheets and expense records.
